We adopted Matilda about two years ago from the Central NY Cat Coalition. We first visited with her at a local cat cafe where she was rather elusive and nonplussed about us. But we decided she was the one. I mean, how could you refuse those pretty eyes?

At first, we thought the little, red birthmark on her nose was an injury. But it wasn’t, and does make her unique. Many people have scolded us online about it saying it was all manner of things other than a harmless birthmark. But the vet has examined her and assured us it is fine.

She has adapted to life with us quite nicely. And we hope to have her around for a long time.
